Ew… just downloaded Invision so we could get installing it. And I thought Grey was complicated!! X_x Holy shyt! I think I’m going to suggest to Sally that she use the Add-On Script option instead… they have Invision as an option. I wish they’d tell us what version it is, but I bet it’s probably the latest. I’d rather let them deal with it and my family preserve their sanity… I mean, sheesh, that’s what it’s there for. =)
I’ve been trying to work on the layout for the Index, but it’s driving me batty. Somehow I keep shaving off a pixel’s width from each part when I go to cut the layout apart. Somehow, I keep ending up with lines through the image and generally through an area that isn’t going to be invisible. The layout for the error pages is going a bit better, but I’ll be damned if it’s not happening there too. Sally’s tossed out there that maybe this is a sign we should invest in an upgrade for PSP (we’re running version 5.0, the current version is 8.0). I’m game for that! =)
Sally and I are going to wait a bit on doing anything for the Dungeon besides buying the names. It’s not like we want to get rid of our page… but neither of us do too much for the Ronin crowd anymore. We don’t visit too many of our old haunts anymore and at times the Loungers have us cringing. A few times, we’ve asked each other if we’d really be happy reopening the Dungeon and if we want to do it because we *want* to or if it’s just an ego trip. Right now we’re split on sticking with the RW/YST aimed site or going to a more General Anime theme.
Lately, we’ve been spending time on Cy’s GreyIt Magazine. That page is just simply awesome. It’s unique and fills a much need niche in Anime Fandom… there’s only a few anime layout sites and almost none that actually help too much. Half of the ones I’ve found have an almost antagonistic attitude towards up-and-coming webmasters. Their website may look professional, but it doesn’t feel professional. Granted, I know most of the visitors to GreyIt Magazine, but the site seems far more professional.
After pondering that, we’ve begun exploring the idea of what niche we currently fill and what niche we could fill. Both of us love Fanfiction and Fanart, but that’s been done way too often. So, we’re just going to take a little more time and think.
