Happy 4th of July, Everyone!!! =D

Working slowly on getting my new “Ultimate Road Trip” layout done. It’s going slowly since I’m having to periodically help Mom and Sally with Luna. Seems like a good portion of the neighborhood like is obsessed with illegal fireworks and have been firing them off almost non-stop today. While I love fireworks, I’m gradually converting over to an intense hatred of the road-side fare. Luna has a typical case of Noise Phobia and today has - so far - hidden under the computer desk, behind the couch, crammed herself into the lowest shelf of an entertainment center, downstairs she tried to hide a storage cabinet, inside the catch-basin of our wet-sink, and is currently *goes on a brief hunting trip* crammed under my mom’s 1.5 sq. ft. nightstand. I guess it’s better than under one of the beds, but I’d really like to know - 1.) How she got under there! (Luna’s a fairly big dog) 2.) How she’s going to get out from under there. XD Then again, she was able to get out of the Entertainment Center without a hitch, so I guess she’s alright.

Anyway, I’ve been chipping away at that layout. It’s turned into an Epoch & Crono deal… I might throw the racing craft or Johnny on the comment or archive page. I’m just so frustrated with the internet, this town, and life as a whole the thought of going on a nice, long Road Trip has become pretty attractive. Since I can’t do that, I’ll make a layout and maybe do a fluff story to go along with it. I mean, when you think about it, Chrono Trigger was the very definition of the Ultimate Road Trip. XD Now that it’s closer to being done, I can safely say that I stole part of Sal’s layout. I tried to make it unique. I found a brush of stamps and postmarks and did those in the background, there’s a bar of caution tape, and then I went and played with the upper right hand corner of my image of Chrono and the Epoch and made a bunch of tiny boxes. I also chose a dark green that - hopefully - isn’t too obnoxious and then popped in my old sneaky MIDI. I’ll probably end up playing with it more once I have it up. My splash page is kind of blah too, but I have stuff that needs to be placed on there. I don’t know if I should put my “Anachronous is the personal weblog of Jasson blah blah blah” disclaimer on there, though. It just isn’t fitting right. Maybe I’ll just write it as a sticky post and remove the date header from sticky posts.

Gawd, I really jumped the gun. I downloaded the backups for Lunaescence.com this evening and then realized it was only Friday. XD So, we get to download them again tomorrow.

Tempus Temporis… is a bitch. No, correction. I am Tempus Temporis’s bitch. Damn muses. I am still stuck! X_x Not that the trio of zits on my ass I earned from sitting in this chair in such hot, humid weather has helped any.

I really need to bounce ideas off from someone other than my sister. But I don’t have too many friends who are in to YGO. Mom is no help. About all she’s good for is CC on layouts and wallpaper. When it comes to our writing, she’s this gushy “Oh, I like everything you write” person. Layouts? Wallpaper? She must have taken lessons from Simon from “American Idol.” XD Of course, she doesn’t insult us… but she’s brutally honest.

Really, I’m not complaining. I love getting Constructive Criticism straight-up. Sally does too. But neither of us are nit-picky enough. We both know the basic plot and so in an attempt to be oblique tend to either go too far or we don’t go far enough. I posted to the Lounge and to Bender’s MB, but no one’s answered. YGO Realms no longer allows the posting of fanfics and I’m leery of asking for help on MM.org. The few YGO fans I’ve seen there are either kids or teens with an almost condescending attitude towards newer members to the site.

I really need some inspiration. Last Saturday’s episode answered a few things for us, but Seto seemed almost OOC for some reason. I can’t put my finger on it, but he did. At least now we can see that he knows about Yami. We’ll see what happens in tomorrow’s episode and see if that doesn’t help inspire us.

Or else maybe I should play with “No Man’s Land” (That CT fanfic about Magus somehow becoming a Daddy Sally challenged me with about a year ago) or my EQ Fanfic, “Perspectives,” I’ve been meaning to rewrite. Maybe backing away from TT and trying one of those will give me a refreshed outlook on the fic. Hell, I dunno.
