There’s a HUGE chance that on Friday, there will be new anime in the house! *beams hugely* We’re going on a long shopping trip Friday to self-indulge and MediaPlay is on the list. =D We all love the MediaPlay store in Walker, MI… it’s a HUGE building with wall to wall Books, CDs, Video Games, Computer Games, Collectibles, Magazines, Sheet Music, a limited selection of lyres, Guitars, drums, etc., and Comic Books. They even have a separate Anime’ section that tends to overwhelm me just glancing at it. =) Last time I was there, they even had Anime T-Shirts, Plushies, Action Figures, etc. and some of them were even Imports. (I just about had to drag my sister away from a sugoi but expensive little, imported Cabbit Plushie … I might not be successful this time! XD)

Anyway, I’m going to see if I can get some Anime. I rewatched the X movie today and drooled my way through the Trailers. I’m thinking Ghost in the Shell, Perfect Blue, Silent Mobius, or Blue Seed - I want a one-shot because I don’t want the torture of suspense, knowing I might not be able to get any more for a while. I’m going to stay away from RW/YST - I’ve seen the Episodes and OAVs more times than I can count so they can wait until we move; they’re not going anywhere.

My Chrono Trigger fanfic is slowly developing, but instead of the challenge fanfic it’s developed into an Original Fanfic. I’m hoping to keep it to about 3 chapters, but if I go over - oh well. Maybe this will help me/us break out of this case of writer’s block we’ve contracted for Tempus Temporis.

For the story, I’m taking a young man from Zeal and throwing him forward in time 20 years after Zeal has fallen, so he gets sucked into the Time Travel thingy that way.

Also, I’ve always thought Norris was probably Magus’s clone, so I’m going to play with that in this fic. I have a ton of reasons that have just always bugged me about him.

First off, Norris himself. IMHO, he resembles Kid to an extent. Their hair is the same shade of blond and their eyes are the same shade of blue, and while I know there’s no FMV’s of Norris, he looks like he could be her brother. While this might be blowing smoke… Magus, I’m guessing was about 26 years old in CT while Schala was about 16. In Chrono Cross, Norris is 26, Kid is 16. He’s the leader of an elite band of fighters called “The Black Wind,” despite the fact he’s one of the youngest Commanders in the Porre army and rose up through the ranks really quickly. Hmm.

Also, how did he “just happen” to have a Vial of Hydra Humor on him and happen to be able to locate Kid in Guldove so fast? Why didn’t Kid’s amulet fix time for the poisoning like it did when Lynx (as Serge) stabbed her? In Lucca’s letter, she says Janus is probably nearby looking for her.

Guile is a little too convenient. If Lynx knew about Lucca, Chrono, Robo, and Marle - he’d know about the others too. In my thinking, I don’t think Magus would be that stupid to either show up looking like himself or send a clone that could be so easily identified. Since Guile is a real Magician, I think he more or less assumed Magus’s appearance to help his reputation. Or maybe he was in on it *shrugs* like the old dodgeball trick of throwing one ball slightly over their heads to make them forget you had another with their name on it.

So that leads me to Norris. The Hydra Humor, knowing exactly where Kid was after she was poisoned, the lack of action by her amulet, and then his willingness to desert his post to join Serge and Co. Lets not forget his actions in The Sea of Eden. He knew just a little too much in there when he was fiddling around with that computer. Plus that, how did he know when to show up and where?

Anyway, I’m going to play with this in my fanfic. =) I’m having lots of fun exercising my new-character-itis; I have a nice team assembled and pretty soon I’ll be getting my Hometown Zeal Boy to a nice, rolling boil of angst. My breaks tomorrow are not going to come fast enough! XD
