Back on to the subject of my layout. I have most of the New Mutants series and I have some kick ass images of Warlock… I just didn’t remember the print quality being so shitty. X_x I suppose that should have been a no-brainer, since I’m looking at a comic book series published in the mid-late 80s. The wacky image I have of Warlock isn’t going to scan in nicely either. Blah. Back to the drawing board. Cora sent me the awesomest (sp?) page of Orlando Bloom / Legolas images, but none of them are really “speaking” to me. (Thank you, Cora!!)

So, now I’m back to the search. I’m getting a headache now, but I really want to get to work on a new layout. I really hate searching for images. >_>

I’m shocked. Honestly. Someone on the Lounge actually replied to a topic I started and tried to be helpful. Someone write down the date! For once, I wasn’t ignored. XD

I’ve decided to bench my Legolas layout. None of my layout attempts are coming out the way I’d like, so I’ve decided it’s time to move on.

Yesterday, I came up with a neat idea for a layout using the character “Warlock” from the old New Mutants (X-Men) comic from the 80’s. I’ve got a kick-ass, kind of wacky image of him giving an OK sign while plugging himself in to an electrical outlet. =) I damn near have the whole series, so it’s not like I shouldn’t be able to find even more images to fill out the layout. I even already have the layout’s title. *grin* I’m going to call it “Awareness”, since that’s the first word the little alien says when he reaches the X-Men’s Mansion. I dunno, after seeing Mirage in X-Men Evolution, my interest has been piqued again.

Now… here’s the problem. I don’t see any fonts on my computer I’d like to use with it. He’s this weird synthesis of living matter and machine. They call him a “techno-organic” organism. I have the font they used in the comic for his speech, but I really want a few “techy” fonts. One I’m searching for is one that has a power cord snaking out of it. I think I’ve seen it before, but I don’t remember where.

Gawd, I really am getting to hate The Ronin Lounge. Those little brats need to get over themselves and grow up. Whine, whine, whine… piss, piss, moan - Oh, you mods hate me, you’re singling me out, it’s not fair! - what the hell is their basis for comparison? Some of the boards I’m on and have been on are 90x more strict than the Lounge has ever been. Some boards require you to have your sigs and avatars approved by a mod before they’ll appear; one board that my sister’s on the Admin has Zero Tolerance for idiots and whining - you piss him off, he bans and doesn’t bother to explain - and all of them run perfectly well. I really keep waiting to hear some melodramatic music and for some deep voice to announce, “And so goes the Days of Our Lives…”
