Way back when my Ronin Warriors fanfiction page was still going, my former roomie and I started a list of words you see a lot of in Anime and Manga fandom. It later evolved into a Dictionary website, which I’ve been kind of ignoring… well, it’s kind of hard to update since no one ever contributes to it.
I was just checking my sites in a search engine, trying to see who all has linked to my sites out of sheer curiosity. And low and behold… I start seeing folks have copied my dictionary page lock, stock, and barrel on message boards, personal pages, etc. Oh, they all give me credit…. With a tiny, like -15 size font that’s basically invisible.
Now, I realize I “cheated” on numerous definitions… but at least the credit I give is legible and I haven’t ever claimed them as my own.
And, OH - the gushing praise they’ve received for MY months of work. Oh, how clever they are to include the proper terms for all the kawaii Japanese weaponry, and OH wow! they even included literary terminology. And holy flipping shyt! What a LONG friggin’ definition for Mary Sue!
Behold: Plagerism by omission at it’s finest. I suppose they think everyone’s going to notice the “I got this here” in microscopic font. Nope. They sit back and absorb all the praise.
For my work.
Yay. Really! Bite me.
