Yeah, I’m still alive. Just feeling rather quiet lately. Fall has hit Michigan and the temperature has suddenly dropped. We’ve already had to run the furnace three times so far. Which has me feeling very old all of a sudden.

No… I’ve suddenly become very aware of the time that passes and it has me slightly depressed. Bills keep piling up and yet somehow we keep managing to scrape up the money to pay each month. I’m holding my breath in between paychecks, pretty much living just in the now.

We’ve been here a year. Sugar’s been dead for almost two, and the kittens will be turning 2 in March. In about two more years, I’ll have been out of school a whole decade. And I still have about that long before I’m out of school.

But with what? An Associates of Applied Computer Science in Web Design. Design at this college really isn’t the focus, it’s the programming aspect. Granted, I prefer programming. But I’ll still need more than what they’re giving me. I won’t have any experience in Photoshop or Illustrator, nor Cold Fusion. What will I be leaving with? What will I be able to find?

Yeah, I know… I’m being stupid. I suppose I just feel that I should be… I dunno… further, I guess? Helping the house more? Being somebody? It’s a little difficult to define.

Math is going well, better than I expected. God willing, I might even be able to stay on the Dean’s list.

The funeral went far better than expected. The ushers put us on the opposite side of the church from Sheba and my aunts, so interaction was limited to a hug. We ducked out as the luncheon was starting (meh… family tradition) so we’re probably on the shit list again. Ah well, might mean we won’t have to put up with her annual visit next year.

The neighbors are blasting their stereo again. It makes it hard to concentrate. Fortunately, I got my homework done last night, so I can go play FF8 until my eyes begin to bleed. — which, I think I’m going to do now. I’m going to get Diablos and beat that damned train sequence if it kills me.
