I seem to be doing okay in class, despite doodling, daydreaming, and fic writing during lecture. XD So, I guess I’m going to start using it to get back into the swing of writing.

So, here’s another little ficlet. This is from Tenten’s perspective, watching Lee and Neji spar.

Yes, in case you were wondering… I did write this after rewatching episodes 48-50.

Cross-posted to Lunaescence, Gaia Online, NarutoFan, FF.net (gasp!) and DeviantArt.

Neji seemed to be feeling particularly vicious today. While he wasn’t attacking Lee’s chakra points, he was aiming for every pressure point that produced the most pain.

An upward palm thrust. Lee swung his arm up, twisting his forearm at the same time, angling the strike harmlessly away.

‘Nice block, Lee.’ Tenten thought, ‘Though he would have been in trouble… no, he’s in trouble right now.’ She realized as Neji sank his fingers into the pressure point near Lee’s elbow, compacting the ulnar nerve against the bone. He spun, whipping his leg in a nearly boneless movement to drive his heel into another pressure point in his shoulder. She suppressed a grimace by choosing to sigh instead. Gashing his arm open with a kunai would have been kinder; less painful too.

Lee yelped, skipped back a couple steps, and gripped his shoulder. She could see the muscles in his legs twitching, though whether it was from exhaustion or pain the sparring match from a half-hour ago she couldn’t tell.

‘No! You idiot!’ The girl nearly screamed as Lee lowered his eyes slightly. Neji wasn’t one to waste an opening. Sure enough, he darted in. Three quick strikes and Lee was on the ground.

“Lee. . .” Tenten sighed, “You aren’t going to win against Neji.”

Lee actually smiled, “No. I’m not finished yet.”
