I finally updated a bit and fixed my contact form. I also left a few comments on the regular blogs out there; I’ll hit everyone’s LJ yet this evening.
We’re somehow surviving. I’m down to praying each and every night, sometimes twice for everything to turn out. I’m sure it will. Might not be the way we like, but it still will turn out.
Now, if you don’t mind, I’m off to finally toast Ultimecia so I can finally lay FF8 to rest. I have figure out how to replace FF7… I lost it ages ago. I need my fix — badly! XD
Well, week 5 of math and I’m doing great. Now, either this is easier than normal math classes or the professor is just explaining things better. I’m not sure which.
File Management is going pretty well. It’s more annoying than hard since it’s one of those newbie classes that assume you don’t know shit. So that one’s a no-brainer.
Now I have to come up with the money to get that software (Studio 8). I ended up asking for an extra $312 to be tacked onto my student loan. I got the note today saying that I have it, along with notification for a $2000 scholarship I won. (Aw, yeah!)
Even so, I made a new account with FastWeb.com so I could begin doing scholarship searches. I hate that place, the last time I had an account there they spammed the hell out of me. So I made a totally new alias, so if they spam me — I can just delete it without actually getting rid of my account.
I have to get my books and crap ordered for next session. (Note to myself.) I might get one book late, since everyting I have is going out for Studio 8. Maybe if it looks like it isn’t going to totally clean me out, I’ll order it through the school. Otherwise it might have to wait until next paycheck or there abouts so I can buy it off from Amazon.
I am sincerely not enjoying fall. It came just too fast and we’re avoiding turning the furnace on. I like a little cold, but when I can see my breath inside when I get up — that’s going a bit too far. Thank God for pets and electric blankets, that’s all I can say.
Someday, somehow I have to order myself space for more icons on my LJ. I’ve found several that amuse the hell out of me, but I have all three filled. =]P
[mood :
impatient]
Well, put my app in a bunch of places and now I’m into the worst part: waiting. =P
Like Sally said on her blog, I dropped by Fed-Ex in person to inquire about the job. They’re apparently looking for mainly students, but they’re offering tuition assistance plus other benefits. Now just to see if I get it. Not too sure I will, given how damned nice it sounds. The other job from Monster.com that I inquired about still hasn’t gotten back to me.
As usual, I suck at waiting. I want a job now, as in right now - this very minute. Gimme! lol Thank God for WTF Comics to help keep my mind off it =D
To pass the time, I’m dumping all sorts of work into my dictionary. Still have to work out the menu a bit more, though. I’m really tempted to make a LJ community for it, see if that won’t scare up some more activity. I added a few dozen more gaming definitions and hope to get back to more anime defs soon.
*yawns* I’ve really gotten out of the habit of keeping this up. Been playing a lot of Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past in between bouts of packing up. If you’ve been keeping up with Sally’s Weblog, you know that we’re moving soon. We close on August 10th and then we have until the 25th to get out of here, so it’s a packing frenzy. Well, that and cleaning. To make sure we leave the house exactly as the company wants it, they’re going to be holding $5,000 of our money from the sale. If the house isn’t clean and all trash removed, they’ll subtract whatever it takes to clean it up. Knowing companies, they’ll find the most expensive way to do it. So… we’re not only packing, but cleaning as we do it. Now there’s the dilemma on what to do if we can’t immediately get into the new house… hell, with the car still down for the count, it’s a dilemma on how we’re going to go house hunting. And mom has only made ONE friggin’ phonecall. >_> Lovely. Too bad my former roomie doesn’t live in Michigan anymore.
It doesn’t look like I’m going to bother with a new blog design OR finishing up comissions. I’m just too bloody distracted…. and now Gaia is being stupid too. Oh well, it’ll all work out in the end.
*falls over* Theres something to be said about small favors. The Family Independance Agency really came through for us. They’ve agreed to pay our entire $400+ heating bill PLUS help us buy food along with emergecy money if we need it. That’s a huge relief; they also want a look at our property taxes, so here’s hoping they’ll help with the $900+ we owe there.
Now, that just leaves renewing Lunaescence before May 13th. $12 for the name, and then somewhere between $40 - $128 depending on what plan we choose. Lunaescence.com is barely above 30MB of space and 340MB of bandwidth total, so we could safely choose a more conservative plan without any impact to the actual site. We’re having a Garage Sale this Thursday, so we’re hoping to make a quick $12 and get our domain renewed ASAP. We’re afraid if we don’t that some idiot will scoop it up for the sole purpose of forcing us to pay an outrageous amount to get it back. We’ll decide on the actual space once we get our Federal Tax returns sometime the week of the 10th. (I’m sure Luna and Echo are going to love Sally, she’s going to be scheduling a V - E - T appointment for both of them as soon as she has her tax return in her hands! XD)
