Crud. Sheba called.

Fortunately, I was able to hand the phone to mom. Fortunately, the phone cut out. We didn’t bother to call her back. Aside from my mom’s birthday, not sure what all was discussed.

Suddenly, finishing these classes by hook or by crook is paramount. I’ve gotta get out of here.

I do not want to do my C Programming homework. Pure and simple. I’ve been staring at my book and my editor since I came home and I haven’t been able to dredge up the energy to even type my name and comments in the header.

I keep finding myself doing anything to keep putting it off, but I need to have it done by tomorrow. I can’t afford another batch of zeroes.

Of course, waiting for Naruto 328 is giving me another excuse to be lazy. (Gawd- I’m such a sad, little fanboy…)

Thanks to Theresa and Hill for your comments about my teacher. I broke down and wrote her to point those things out. I didn’t get much of a response from her, but she added 7 points back into my grade. I won’t post the details here out of respect, but I’m not entirely satisfied with her response either.

Not that any of that is going to help me this week. I figured out 4/5 of my weekly programming assignments and couldn’t finish the last. I had no idea how to even do what she was asking. So that’s going to be a zero.

I’m still not that happy with the classes they’re having me take. They’re really only giving me introductions to the material and not actually taking me into the actual meat. There’s far more to C programming than this, but this is all I’m getting. While I’ll stick with this school for the general stuff, I think I need to find another school to complete my bachelors.

Well, I need to hand the computer back to Sall so she can finish her work.

I won’t try to be cute (ie “stupid”) like I did for the Advent Children entry, but I do have to say that I’m experiencing a bit of joygasm here.

In the latest Naruto ending, you get a brief glimpse of the older, time-skip Naruto. =) I’m still waiting to download my copies of the next episodes, but if they’re showing that in the ending — Kakashi Gaiden can’t be far away.

They aren’t that far ahead with the manga, so either they’re going to draw Kakashi Gaiden out or else launch into some more fillers at some point. I can bet they’re going to show the battles that the manga didn’t show for the Rescue Gaara arc, so that’ll take up a few episodes. Probably lengthen out Naruto’s return a bit too, have him meet back up with more of his friends.

Makes me wish I had BitTorrent, but neither Sally or I could get the damned thing to work last time.

Anyway, came up with another web design instead of working on my story. ^^; Still trying to figure out a color scheme, though. I thought of a dark, rich layout with browns and reds, but it ends up looking like I’m trying to come up with a goth theme instead of the elegant look I wanted. =P So, back to the drawing board. We have a blue, a pink/orange/grey, a red/gold, and a tan layout. One of these days we’ll adapt Zenlike to work on the site, so we’ll have a nice, pale green. So I’m not sure what to do.

I think my C programming teacher has it in for me. Got my grades in my e-mail and she marked me down to 12/20 for one. stinking. typo. The program does exactly what she wanted, I just typed .06 instead of .07 in one array, so one option is off. She also told me that my URLs were wrong for another assignment, which is bull because I copied them right out of my address bar. I wish I had asked around about the instructors before registering, but it’s too late to drop the class.

I also got a zero on one assignment because she wanted me to submit it through the online system, but it’s a two fold system. Once you upload your assignment, first you have to save it and it sends you all the way back to the assignment list. Then you have to surf all the way back in and then you can submit it. You can’t just upload and hit submit. I was exhausted, so I saved, but didn’t submit. So a bit fat zero there, even though I caught my error and submitted it in the morning.

So yeah, not too happy with that. But, nothing like seeing timeskip Naruto to make me feel better. =]P

This semester is going okay so far. C Programming is going to kill me, though. I got a 40% on my last homework assignment. X_x

I keep telling myself that I’ll do better on the test, but damn — that stings.

Now, I come to another topic… is there still an actual demand for CGI/Perl scripts? I can only think of 3 - 4 sites that I’ve come across that show clear usage of CGI/Perl. Most everything else either uses PHP, ASP, JSP, or some other scripting method.

That being said, I think I’m beginning to wonder if I wouldn’t have better luck with actual programming languages from a different school. My difficulties aside, I keep running into the elite/bragging types here. They either brag about how much they know or look down at you just because you’re not as good as them. (Why are they even bothering to take the class?!) For some reason, I never had that problem at Central.

Anyway, my school griping aside, I feel really proud of myself again. I made a few quiet changes to LA and they all worked on the first try. *grooves*

I moved the new password field up to the top of the edit bio area, added a way to link the poll to the message board, and added total votes to the poll archive. (I also think I finally got it so it saves the votes correctly now.)

And this is where I think I’m going to stop for the night. I really like feeling this accomplished, but this is usually the time something decides to break.
